When water passes through a membrane, an osmotic pressure is created by the membrane against the flow. A high-pressure pump is required to pass water through the membrane. Only water molecules can pass through the membrane and the other ions will be rejected to the brine.
Alveo Water’s RO systems can be divided into two groups, brackish and seawater systems. RO plants are used for applications such as domestic water, commercial and industrial process water and effluent reuse.
