Chemical dosing is required in both water and wastewater treatment plants. Chemicals are required for a variety of reasons throughout the processes of treating water. Chemicals are used to facilitate reactions, enhance processes or merely to eliminate pathogens.

Chemical dosing plants are often provided as turnkey projects and then incorporated into the bigger plants. Dosing plants may include wet or dry storage, hoppers, conveyors, mixers, agitators, pumps and injectors as well as instruments to measure flow, concentrations as well as water quality.
